Apartment Canela is a lovely ground floor 2 bedroom apartment set within a well maintained complex of apartments which surround a communal swimming pool and beautiful gardens. The complex is within the traditional fishing village of Santa Luzia which is most famous for the local dish of cooked octopus, beautiful.
Apartment Canela is located in the heart of the village and a short stroll to the harbour front and with a coffee shop located just across the road.
Upon entering the apartment you will see that the apartment has been very tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. To one end, upon entering is the living area and kitchen, with the bedrooms and bathrooms to the other.
As you step into the living room area there is a black leather sofa and contrasting white leather tub chair, surrounding the glass topped coffee table. There is a modern flat screen TV, offering a selection of European channels and set upon a matching glass topped TV stand. On the apposite wall is a white gloss sideboard offering storage space for board games, books and magazines. A large wall mounted mirror also hangs above. Towards the front of this ground floor, 2 bedroom apartment is a glass toppped dining table and 4 white leather chairs. Black and white pictures on the wall finish this living area and beautifully compliment the black and white theme of the furniture.
From the living area, large sliding doors lead out onto a private terrace. This room also benefits from a wall mounted air conditioning unit offering both cool and warm settings making it an ideal apartment to stay in whatever the time of year.
The kitchen is separated from the living area by a large breakfast bar partition. The kitchen in Apartment Canela is very well equipped ready for your holiday, offering a full-size fitted oven and ceramic hob with extractor above, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. We have also provided a toaster and coffee machine for the perfect holiday breakfast. The kitchen is also stocked with a variety of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and pans. You will find a large walk-in storage cupboard at one end of the kitchen and sliding doors which lead out onto the outside terrace.
The kitchen units are of a light oak colour with a light coloured granite style worktop and fully tiled splash back. The living area is open plan and therefore offering a very easy socialising area for all.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
To the other end of this beautiful 2 bedroom apartment are the spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom offers a large double bed with neutral coloured faux suede headboard. Bedside tables at either side with lamps offer both additional storage space and the night light for bedtime reading. The bedroom is very spacious and also offers large built in wooden wardrobes. The room is finished with fresh white voiles to the large window which also benefits from shutters enabling you to keep the bedroom cool during the day of the hot summer months. The en-suite bathroom to this bedroom has a large shower, toilet and basin set into a large vanity unit with wall mounted mirror above. The bathroom is fully tiled in a neutral colour.
The second bedroom is a twin room set out with 2 single beds again with neutral coloured faux suede headboards. A bedside table and accompanying lamp sits between the beds. Again this second bedroom has large wooden built in wardrobes ensuring you have plenty of space for your holiday outfits. The large bedroom window offers an abundance of natural light, but the shutters can also provide that cool dark feel at night time and keep the heat of the day out. The vibrant green soft furnishings finish off this very pleasant twin room.
Both bedrooms benefit from air conditioning.
Finally the second bathroom is fitted with a bidet, toilet, large basin set into a large vanity unit and a large wall mounted mirror above. Here you also have the luxury of a full size bath with shower over and a glass shower screen.
Communal Spaces, Gardens and Swimming Pool
Each apartment within the complex at Santa Luiza has their own private terrace accessed via the sliding windows from both the living area and the kitchen. The doors lead out onto the tiled terrace area, here you will find an outdoor table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. The privacy is maintained here by a white dividing wall and a nice raised flower bed. A traditional Portuguese brick BBQ is built into the wall of the terrace allowing our guests to truly experience the Portuguese way of life. From the terrace there is easy access to the gardens and shared pool.
From the terrace, taking a short stroll along the path you will come to the communal gardens and gorgeous swimming pool, making for a wonderful place to cool down and relax. Sun loungers and parasols are available for your use. The gardens are very well maintained and finished with locally shrubbery.
Apartment Canela offers some extra fabulous features including underground secure parking and a small indoor plunge style pool, a great feature especially in the winter months, making this a great apartment for the longer term winter rentals.
Each room in this 2 bedroom apartment has top quality air conditioning units which can be set to cool during the hot summer months but also set to heat during the cooler evenings in the winter months, making this apartment fabulous for both a summer holiday trip, maybe a longer winter sun let or stop gap for some sightseeing. The East of the Algarve has so much more to offer than just beautiful sandy beaches, the wildlife and walks available are well worth seeing.
Apartment Canela is in a quiet but excellent location and is just a short walk from the seafront and boat trips to the beaches. It makes not only a perfect base for family summer holiday but also a super apartment for those longer stays in the warm Algarve winter sun. Booking your Holiday
To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.
30 days before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.
Marslgarve LDA operates a Breakages insurance scheme for any accidental damages and breakages during your stay with us.
The non-refundable Damage Protection Fee of €10 per guest protects you from being charged for accidental property damage that may occur during your stay with us. Cover is up to the value of €500. All we ask is that you treat our homes with respect and should any accidental damage occur you inform us immediately by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference
Tab 2 Within our website we have a secure payment method for card payments. Please sue this tab if you wish to pay by card.

We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600. This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday.
We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday.
Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you. We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you. In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.
Our "All important" Welcome Book
Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.
The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys.
We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive.
Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience.
During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book. The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.
Hampers and Mid Stay Cleans
Our properties are cleaned to an excellent standard and all items of any previous guest are removed. This includes all cooking items or hygiene products. This is to comply with Rental Licence and Covid rules for Portugal. As a self catering property we value your privacy and as such do not offer any cleaning service during your stay unless you request the extra paid service with us.
To provide the best service for our guests we do provide hand soap and a toilet roll per bathroom. The tap water in all of our properties is fit for human consumption.
We offer a selection of hampers at an extra fee and can be seen and chosen during or after the booking process.
Children and Babies
We can hire a variety of items for your holiday home. Please book any items your require during the booking process.
We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday. We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected. Please click on the link below choose your bikes and accessories, let us know via e mail and we will get it all booked for you.
We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you. We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service.
We can also arrange hire of scooters for you. They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

We use a fantastic local Company, Sunline Transfers. The Company has built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them.
Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site. This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.
