Modern central 2 bedroom apartment with air con, wifi, pool and gardens
Apartment Bambu is a beautifully designed and spacious two bedroom apartment at ground floor level set within a small complex of apartments in the heart of Santa Luzia, a traditional Portuguese fishing village.
Situated close to the centre of the village, just a 5-7 minute walk to the harbour front, with a coffee shop located just across the road. The road that lies alongside the large apartment complex has plenty of street parking. The entry to the apartments is through the main door on the street through normal key access, an intercom system is also available. Once you are through the main doors your will come to the main entrance area, after going up a small section of steps you will be on the ground level and the apartment door will be on your left.
On entering the apartment you will see that the space has been well decorated with lots of colourful pictures all through the accommodation. To your right is the main living and dining area with the kitchen just off in a separate room to the right and to the left of the entry is the bedrooms and family bathroom.
As you step into the living room area there will be a dark wood dining table and 6 wicker chairs in the corner, with stylish lighting above to illuminate the area and a snug rug underneath. A large wooden sideboard with plenty of storage lines the opposite wall from the front door to the kitchen. A large, stylish potted plant sits between the sofas and dining area, alongside a cream floor flap.
In front of the huge French windows that lead onto a private terrace is a sofa and two chairs that perfectly match the dining room furniture. Three floating wooden shelves are situated on the far wall above the sofa. Another comfy rug covers the floor area as well as a dark wood and glass coffee table and ceiling fan in the centre of the seating area. Light blue curtains match the soft furnishings within the rest of the room, such as the cushions, throws and table runner. Facing the sofa and chairs is a flat screen television that offers a selection of European channels.
Access to the kitchen is through a door leading off from the living area on the right. The long, bright and spacious kitchen is very well equipped with a full-size cooker and hob with extractor above, along with a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and coffee machine. There are also plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. You will find large walk-in storage cupboard at one end of the kitchen and sliding doors leading out onto the outside terrace from the other.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
At the other end of this beautiful 2 bedroom apartment is the spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom on the left-hand side as you enter the property is the twin bedroom, consisting of one single bed and 1 double (sleeping 3 in total). The matching grey headboards gives the bedrooms a clean and sophisticated look, along with the large built in wooden wardrobes that perfectly match the wooden shutters for the windows that face out onto the street outside.
The second bedroom is the master bedroom with a large king-size bed made with freshly laundered crisp white linen and large white bath and smaller hand towels, both soft, fresh and laundered for your comfort. We also provide beach/pool towels to save you having to add them to your luggage giving you more space for Algarve souvenirs. Bedside tables and matching lamps are at each side of the bed for your reading comfort. The large bedroom window offers plenty of natural light, but the wooden shutters can also provide that cool dark feel at night time, which when left closed during the day can also help to keep the apartment lovely and cool during the heat of the Algarve summer. Again this room also has a large built in wardrobe with a door hanging mirror and the lovely pictures above the bed and the comfy rug make it a cosy and pleasant space.
At the end of the short hallway is the shared family bathroom with a bidet, toilet, large basin with a substantial mirror and a handy wooden shelf just underneath, underneath the basin itself is a useful storage space with both draws and cupboards. To the right of the basin is a generous size heated towel rail to keep your towels fluffy and warm. Here you have the luxury of having a shower and bath in one with glass door to protect the floor from getting wet, a suction bath mat this also available to help prevent any slips getting in and out of the bath.
Communal Spaces, Gardens and Swimming Pool
Each apartment within the complex at Santa Luiza has their own private terrace, which is located through the French windows that lead you out onto the tiled patio, where you will find a comfortable set of outdoor table and chairs, privacy is still slightly maintained here due to floral plants growing along side the railings. A traditional Portuguese brick BBQ is built into the wall on the right of the terrace with a small but confident hand sink also built in alongside this. From the terrace there is easy access to the gardens and shared pool.
Just a few steps down to the walkway leading to the gated pedestrian entrance (when heading to the right) and to the left just a short stroll along the path you will come to the communal gardens and gorgeous swimming pool making for a wonderful place to cool down. Sun loungers and parasols are available for your use. The garden is well maintained
Each room in this 2 bedroom apartment has top quality air conditioning units that can be set to cool during the hot summer months but also set to heat during the cooler evenings in the Winter months, making this apartment fabulous for both a summer holiday trip, maybe a longer winter sun let or stop gap for some sightseeing in the East of the Algarve region as we have so much more to offer than just beautiful sandy beaches.
Apartment Bambu is in a quiet but excellent location and is just a short walk from the seafront and boat trips to the beaches. It makes not only a perfect base for family summer holiday but also a super apartment for those longer stays in the warm Algarve winter sun. Booking your Holiday
To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.
30 days before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.
Marslgarve LDA operates a Breakages insurance scheme for any accidental damages and breakages during your stay with us.
The non-refundable Damage Protection Fee of €10 per guest protects you from being charged for accidental property damage that may occur during your stay with us. Cover is up to the value of €500. All we ask is that you treat our homes with repsect and should any accidental damage occur you inform us immediately by contacting us at email@example.com.

Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference

We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600. This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday.
We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday.
Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you. We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you. In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.
Our "All important" Welcome book
Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.
The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys.
We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive.
Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience.
During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book. The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.
Equipment Hire, Car Hire and Transfer Information
Equipment hire for children and babies
We can hire a variety of items for your holiday home. Please book any items your require during the booking process.
We offer the following,
Camp beds suitable for children up to 12 years €5 per night
Travel cots and mattress €5 per night
High chairs €5 per night.
We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday. We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected. Please click on the link below choose your bikes and accessories, let us know via e mail and we will get it all booked for you.
We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you. We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service.
We can also arrange hire of scooters for you. They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

We use a fantastic local Company, Sunline Transfers. The Company has built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them.
Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site. This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.
