Our properties are cleaned to an excellent standard and all items of any previous guest are removed. This includes all cooking items or hygiene products. This is to comply with Rental Licence and Covid rules for Portugal. As a self catering property we value your privacy and as such do not offer any cleaning service during your stay unless you request the extra paid service with us. To provide the best service for our guests we do provide hand soap and a toilet roll per bathroom. The tap water in all of our properties is fit for human consumption. We offer a selection of hampers at an extra fee and can be seen and chosen during or after the booking process.
Apartment Starfish is a fabulous end apartment with extra living space and a wrap around private balcony. It offers and adjoining single bedroom to the master bedroom via a sliding door, Great for young families. Located at Village Marina it is set in perfect location for an easy holiday without a car. Modern facilities include fibre internet and air conditioning.

Apartment Starfish is a superb 3 bedroom apartment that sleeps 6. Located at Village Marina this 3 bedroom apartment is a great choice for an easy and relaxed holiday base with amazing amenities. Right next door and on the same floor we also have Apartment Ciciona so this can make a great extended family or friends choice. 


All the apartments at Village Marina has a sound floor lobby that can only be accessed by use of a key or the apartment intercom system. Once inside the smart and modern lobby there is either the choice of an internal staircase or 2 lifts to take you to the upper floors. Apartment Starfish is on the first floor with one other apartment. A sold front door opens up into a hallway for the 3 bedroom apartment. 

Living Space

This spacious, light and open plan 3 bedroom apartment offers a great living space and being on the end of the block overlooking the quiet complex street it offers a larger than most living space with extra window for natural light and a large wrap around balcony. 

Double glass and light wood doors open up from the front door and hallway into the living space. Set to the rear of the room is a two large solid ebony wood sideboards making a lovely feature of the room and offering a great place for storing you holiday games, booker imagines maybe? Beside them a+is a funky animal print arm chair to sit and enjoy a book or a simple pace to relax. 

A solid ebony wood dining table offers a great ding space with 6 red fabric matching chairs.  At the end of the room is a large window to let floods of natural light whilst you spend time eating, drinking and socialising on your holiday. 

Against one wall is set a large L shade leather style sofa in red adding another splash of colour giving contrast and contemporary feel to the living space. A round ebony coffee table set to the front and in the centre of the living space makes a great practical feature of the living room. 

Set up on am matching ebony television unit is a large flat screen television offering a selection of European channels to suit out Nationalities. Simple but stylish additions, ornaments and lights give a warm, homely and modern feel to the space. 

The best feature is the rage sliding glass doors that lead onto the private balcony.  The doors and windows are dressed with light summer feel curtains and both offer electric shutters for your comfort. 


To the left of the front door and placed at the front of the 3 bedroom apartment is the modern and well equipped family kitchen. Designed in light wood and white fitted units you will find an integrated fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine along with a brushed chrome eye level over and microwave. The hob is a mix of gas and electric rings and overhead is a smart brushed chrome extractor. The work surface is plentiful and made form solid black marble to add contrast to the kitchen and provided a practical work space. 

The cupboards and drawers are well kitted out with plenty of crookery, cullers, glasses, cooking utensils, servings dishes and pots and pans. Every thought has gone into making sure this kitchen would be as well equipped as any family kitchen. We ahem also added a kettle, capsule coffee machine and toaster. 

A large glass door that's can be opened with a balustrade lets in lots of light and small area in the corner of the kitchen houses the internal vacuum system and makes a great storage read for cleaning tools. 

Bedrooms and Bathrooms. 

Along the hallway to the right of the front door is the bedrooms and bathrooms, set at the back of our 3 bedroom apartment. At the end of the hall is the master bedroom fitted with two single beds that can be made to a superking bed, styled with very light beige soft fabric headboards and a large picture window above fitted with shutters to give a lovely dark room at night. Each side is matching bedside cabinets and lamps and at the foot of the bed is a set fo daters with a lovely large mirror above. Another glass door lets in that lovely Algarve sunshine, but shutters can be used at night. Then a large fit wardrobe adds a stylish and neat place to store you holiday clothes and belongings. The bedroom offers and air conditioning unit that can be set to different temperatures cool for summer, warm for winter.

The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a full size bath and overhead shower, a great feature for an apartment. You will also find an aqua green glass basin set into a smart light wood floating vanity unit with storage and over head, a large mirror. To add to the features is a white ceramic toilet and bidet. The bathroom is styled with white floor tiles and aqua green small wall tiles and gives a hint of opulence to the space in keeping with the modern style of the 3 bedroom apartment.

A sliding door between the master bedroom and single bedroom makes for adjoining rooms of you need. There is also another separate door to the single room form the hallway. The bedroom is fitted with a large single bed and bedside table along with fitted wares and a door size glass window and again that all important electric shutter.   

The third bedroom is laid out as 2 single beds that again can be used as a supering bed. Each side the beds and matching laugh fabric headboards are bedside table and lamps, along one wall if fitted wares with handy sliding doors with an automatic internal light, what a great feature! Two set of windows with shutters let in the morning sunshine and decorated with gentle flowing light fabric white curtains the sense of style remind you of being in the warm climate and near the sea. At the end of the bed is a set drawers designed to emulate a large travel truck in brown leather and shiny chrome. A chair help to make a great addition and allows this piece furniture to be used as a dressing table as well as great drawers. 

The family bathroom again offers the clean, smart white floor tiles and aqua green wall tiles and is fitted with a shower cubicle, toilet, basin set into a vanity units and overhead mirror. 

Private Terrace

Apartment Starfish has the added touch of a super large wrap around balcony, due to it being an end of block 3 bedroom apartment. The terrace has large French sliding doors from the living space and these features really add an extra room to your space giving the feeling of a wonderful al fresco place to enjoy all year around. The terrace overlooks the gardens and off road parking areas so is peaceful and quiet. The terrace captures the daytime and evening sunshine, percent place to enjoy a pre dinner drink and even better to watch the moon and stars at the end of your evenings. 

We have placed a large black home and smoked glass dining table and 6 chairs on the balcony.  A swinging bucket chairs makes a wonderful feature and walls a couple of sunloungers for those lazy days. The balcony makes a great outside living space and is a really lovely and special feature of our 3 bedroom apartment. 

Communal Spaces, Gardens and Swimming Pool.

Each block of 3 story apartments has its own absolutely amazing roof top swimming pool. Surrounding the pool is decked ares set with sun loungers for everyone to share. The whole rooftop is paved and you can find quiet spaces to sit, sunbathe and simply enjoy the fabulous scenery.  Behind the Village Marina complex is the Cubist Town of Olhao, called so because of the roof tops and look outs. Then behind again is mountain and country side again wonderful to watch as the sun goes down and speeds different light over the undulating hills. Then in front, "Wow" the beautiful lagoons and islands of Olhao, simply amazing views of salt flats, maybe families? The boats going about their daily business of fishing or taking holiday makers to the beaches on the islands such fun to sit and watch all day if you can!

Surrounding the blocks of apartments is cobbled streets in true Portuguese style and plenty spaces offering off road parking. Trees and shrubs are planted to offer pleasant garden spaces.  The complex is well kept and a perfect holiday base.   


Apartment Starfish is a pleasant 3 bedroom apartment at 1st floor level offing some great features including an adding single bedroom to the master bedroom making this a great choice for your families. Opposite the apartment we have Apartment Ciciona, a fanatic 2 bedroom apartments too. 

The 3 bedroom apartments comes with great addition to include fibre internet, a fast screen television, a huge wraparound balcony and access to the roof top pool. Village Marina is on the sea front and close to a boat terminal for those wishing to use the island beaches. The sea front with restaurants, bars and cafes is less than a 5 minute walk through the pleasant sea front gardens. Then the town centre, bus and train station are also less than a 10 minute easy walk. 

Our lovely 3 bedroom apartment comes with its own manual that you can download to your tablet or smart phone. Packed full of information to make the best of your holiday starting from the moment you arrive. It tells you how to collect the keys, who will look after you during your stay and clear concise directions to Apartment Starfish. Then it is packed full with details of the best restaurants, taxis and local amenities and activities.

And of course our managers are on hand to make sure you love your holiday more if you need any advice or tips on the local area they will be more than happy to help.

    Booking your Holiday

    To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.

    30 days before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.


    Damages Protection

    Marslgarve LDA operates a Breakages insurance scheme for any accidental damages and breakages during your stay with us.

    The non-refundable Damage Protection Fee of €10 per guest protects you from being charged for accidental property damage that may occur during your stay with us. Cover is up to the value of €500. All we ask is that you treat our homes with respect and should any accidental damage occur you inform us immediately by contacting us at

    Methods of Payment

    On the payment page you will find two tabs.

    Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference

    Tab 2  Within our website we have a secure payment method for card payments. Please sue this tab if you wish to pay by card.

    Arrival Day

    We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600.  This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday. 

    We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday. 

    Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you.  We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.  


    Departure Day

    We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you.  In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.


    Our "All important" Welcome Book

    Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.

    The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys. 

    We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive. 

    Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience. 

    During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book.  The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.


    Hampers and Mid Stay Cleans

    We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday.  We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected.     Car Hire

    We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you.  We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service. 

    We can also arrange hire of scooters for you.  They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

    Airport Transfers

    We use a fantastic local Company, Sunline Transfers. The Company has built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them. 

    Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site.  This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.
