Casa dos Amigos totally encapsulates old and historic Olhao but with all the creature comforts you need for your holiday. This is one amazing house with such a great deal of thought and love having been put into bringing it back to life for our generation to enjoy all over again.
Upon entering the house from the small side street and stone staircase sweeps up the the first floor and a wonderful old door on the right leads to a small reception area with windows looking out onto the street. Another door leads into a wide open space with huge amounts of light and a wall of renovated double doors separated by fabulous pillars lading out onto a totally enclosed and private terrace. Please note the bike is for decorative purposes and too old to now ride! But we can arrange bike hire for you if you like. Prepare to be welcomed by Kevin the most loved and cherished horse bust statue.
The space is furnished with a large, comfortable sofa an arm chair and bean bags. Perfcet for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of the house.
Double doors lead into a music room with places to sit and relax. Just a note to say the guitar in the picture has been removed as the owner wanted yo use it!
The open space offers a great kitchen area with everything you could possibly need from a oven and hob, full size fridge freezer, coffee machine, microwave, kettle, toaster ad plenty of cups, plates and utensils.
An arch ways leads into a proper dining area with a wonderful huge wooden table surrounded by antique chairs, again the area offers plenty of character and unusual collections from the owners. Huge sliding doors open on to the private terrace again, keeping this house flowing with wonderful areas to enjoy company sit and relax and take pleasure from the fabulous building.
The huge stone staircase leads up to a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom thats has the most fabulous roll top free standing bath, but also a pratical walk in shower, basin and toilet.
Bedroom 2 offers a large double bed and bedroom 3 offers bunkbeds, great for children or young adults.

Small wooden stairs lead to a second kitchen area with cooking facilities and a fridge. Also a bathroom with a basin, toilet and shower. This means staying on the rooftop all day a pleasure! There is also some seating and chill out areas. Sliding doors lead to a secluded terrace with a plunge style pool with seating around the outside. Bean bags offer great comfort and also there you will find some comfortable sun-beds to soak up that amazing Algarve sun. Climb up again to another terrace and have a 360 view of the rooftops of Olhao.
The house was built by a wealthy family who manufactured furniture in the 1940's and next door the old factory is still standing....just! Casa do Amigos boasts superb architecture and some amazing features, it holds its charm having been very sympathetically renovated but it still makes a comfortable place to live and enjoy holidays. The owner loves to collect unusual objects and the house has been blessed with many of her interesting finds and adds to the ambience and character of the place.

To secure your holiday with us we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price followed by the remainder of the payment 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Upon full payment and completion of the booking form we will end you meeting arrangements, directions and a comprehensive pack of information on the local area.
We can supply Euro and a sterling bank account for payments although if you wish to pay by credit/debit card we are able to provide you with an invoice using Paypal. You will not need to have a Paypal account to use this facility.
We require a damage bond and this is dealt with by way of a credit card slip with credit/debit card details of any person booked into the property. If a card is not available then the payment must be in cash and this will be returned via bank transfer once the holiday is over and upon receipt of bank details.
The holiday price includes a mid stay linen change every 7 days for stays of 14 nights or more.
Bed linen, bath and hand towels along with beach/pool towels are provided within the holiday cost.
WIFI is included but may incur an extra charge please confirm that WI-FI is included within the cost of your holiday.
We operate a strict arrival and departure time limit especially during the summer months. Arrival is after 1600 and departure is before 1000. For arrivals we are happy to meet you at the property after 1000 to drop baggage etc but then entry can not be gained until after 1600 to allow the cleaners to prepare the property to the exceptionally high standard that we at Mars Algarve pride ourselves upon. Departure is strictly before 1000 and failure to depart on time without prior arrangement will result in a financial charge.
Upon arrival you will be met by one of the very helpful Mars Algarve Team they will hand over the keys to your holiday home and take the time to show you the property and tell you about any local information and answer any questions you may have. The Mars Algarve team will then be on hand during your holiday for any issues that may arise.
Before you arrive, we will send you our new guest online welcome book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday property, the local area and has all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys. The online book gives you a real insight and allows you to plan your holiday before you even arrive. This also gives you the guest the opportunity to take the book with you wherever you go on your smartphone or tablet, maximising your holiday experience.
