Apartment Alegria is a beautifully furnished apartment with three bedrooms. Situated within a popular complex of apartments just on the edge of the old fishing town of Olhao. Our 3 bedroom apartmnent is in a perfect location for either a relaxing holiday or a great base to explore Olhao, the East Algarve and beyond.



This 3 bedroom apartment is situtated at the end of a block of apartments. Access is via a intercom system into a vestibule. Two lifts give access to the upper floors and roof terrace. Alterntativley there is enclosed stairs that can also be used. Situated on the 4th floor with one other apartment gives a feeling of space and privacy.

The front door to our 3 bedroom apartment opens onot a hallway that in turn gives access to all the rooms. The hallway offers a stylish sidboard with a large silver framed mirror above.


Living Space

Directly in front as you enter Apartment Alegria double wooden and glass doors open out into a wonderful, light, spacious and modern living area. To the left is two very stylish grey fabric sofas with a solid light wood coffee table and matching television unit. The flat screen tv offers a mixture of European channels to suit many Nationalities. One sofa faces towards the television and the other out onto the secluded large balcony accessed via large sliding french windows. When these windows allow the wonderful Algarve sunshine in making the space pleasant and airy. To the rear of the living area is a large solid wood table and 6 chairs and overlooking the table is a large panoramic window.

The living room is most tastefully and recently furnished in 2018. You will find superb soft furnishings and lovely wooden floors giving the room a nice clean feel. Air conditioning offers a cool supply of air in the Summer months and can be used as heating during the cooler months in the evenings. Making this space very pleasant any time of the year.



The kitchen in this 3 bedroom apartment is directly to your left as you enter and is exceptionally spacious and practical. Light blue tiled floors provide cool easy to clean solutions. Very well equipped and stylishly designed all the appliances are integrated. The units are a good mix of overhead and lower cupboards with plenty of drawer space. You will find them well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, glasses, mugs plates and many more. We also provide a coffee machine, toaster, kettle along with a microwave, a full size fridge freezer, mixed gas and electric hob and an electric oven. The kitchen also houses a dishwasher and washing machine. Large full length windows offer plenty of natural light and a small area is designed to house the integral vacuum, iron and ironng board and cleaning tools.


Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Passing the living room and to the right is the first bedroom and it is laid out as a twin bed room with two good size single beds with bedside units and lamps. The headboards are fabric and taupe in colour and with blue theme running through it give the bedroom a lovely sense of style. Floor to ceiling windows offer natural light but for the night the electric shutters make a wonderful dark cool sleeping space. The twin bedroom also has large fitted wardrobes with wooden sliding doors and air conditioning great for cooling in the summer and a little warmth on the cooler winter nights.

The second bedroom offers a good size double bed again with soft styling, large windows and electric shutters, air conditioning and sliding door fitted wardrobes. A pleasant room.

The master bedroom offers a large, comfortable kingsize bed with matching bedside units and lamps. A large panoramic window overlooks the bed offering wonderful natural light but the electric shutters make for a super dark room of a night time. As before the room is well supplied with air conditioning, wardrobes and stylish furnishings. The master bedroom in this luxurious 3 bedroom apartment has the added bonus of an en suite bathroom. Styled with white tiled floors and very light blue tiled walls the en suite offers and beautiful glass sink set into a wood style vanity unit with cupboard space underneath and a large mirror above. The full size bath has a overhead shower and there is also a toilet and bidet.

The second bathroom offers a huge Italian style step in shower, beautiful turquoise glass basin set into a vanity unit with cupboard space below and a large mirror above and a toilet.

Each bathroom is equipped with a hair dyer.


Private Terrace

Being on the 4th floor This wonderful 3 bedroom apartment really does offer privacy and that includes the dual aspect terraces. Accessed via the living room the balcony opens up into an excellent space with some sea views over the Ria Formosa and towards the Island beaches of Olhao. In front of the french windows is a large gals and white outside dining table with 6 chairs making this an amazing place to enjoy the Algarve warm weather. The terrace is also a perfect place for some private sunbathing!


Communal Spaces, Gardens and Swimming Pool

To enjoy the swimming pool take the stairs or lift up one floor and the door opens out onto a fantastic roof terrace the length on the building. Here you will be delighted with some stunning scenery and the chance to enjoy the ever changing vistas of the sea. This can also be a birdwatchers paradise with many varieties of birds enjoying the salt flats, including Flamingos. But for those wishing to relax by the pool this space offers a gorgeous pool overlooked by sun loungers for your use.

The Marina Village complex has some well maintained garden areas and beds the road and parking bays are styled with the traditional calcada cobbles. There is plenty of parking at the complex.

Also situated in the Marina Village is a number of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. be delighted by the Italian restaurant, taps bar and steakhouse. Plus a pancake house, traditional barber, Irish bar with various sports matches playing on the tv's along with a pleasant coffee house overlooking the bay.



Apartment Alegria is a fantastic three bedroom apartment offering plenty of accommodation and space with all modern fittings, making it a great pad for family holidays or those who just lie a little more space. The 3 bedroom apartment has the added bonus of excellent speed fibre internet throughout the apartment Being situated just on the edge of the Town centre it makes for a great location. Less than 10 minutes is all you need to walk to a large supermarket and the wonderful town centre. Olhao being a typical old fishing town is a wonderful eclectic mix of old tradition and new styles and is simply wonderful and vibrant. The beaches are accessed by boats as they are all island and the boats for the beaches can be found right next to the complex. There is absolutely no need for a car whilst staying at Apartment Alegria as taxis, buses and trains stations are all near by.

Packed full of information to make the best of your holiday starting from the moment you arrive. It tells you how to collect the keys, who will look after you during your stay and clear concise directions to Apartment Alegria. Booking your Holiday


To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.

One month before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.

We ask for a damage bond of €200 this is payable on arrival at your holiday home either by cash or provision of credit cards details.

Methods of payment

On the payment page you will find four tabs.

Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference

Tab 2  Within our website we have a secure payment method for card payments. Please sue this tab if you wish to pay by card.

Tab 3 UK Bank Transfer.  We are able to utilise a UK bank account if preferred. Before payment please ask for a Euro/sterling conversions price. 

Tab 4 If you prefer Paypal we have a direct link for you to be able to use this method of payment.

Arrival Day

We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600.  This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday. 

We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday. 

Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you.  We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.  


Departure Day

We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you.  In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.


Our "All important" Welcome book

Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.

The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys. 

We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive. 

Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience. 

During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book.  The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.


Equipment Hire, Car Hire and Transfer Information


Equipment hire for children and babies

We can hire a variety of items for your holiday home. Please book any items your require during the booking process. Paymnet will be locally in cash please. 

We offer the following,

Camp beds suitable for children up to 12 years €5 per night

Travel cots and mattress (No linen provided, please be sure to bring your own) €5 per night

High chairs €5 per night.


Bicycle Hire

We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday.   We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected. Car Hire

We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you.   We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service. 

We can also arrange hire of scooters for you.   They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

Airport Transfers

We have used the same local Company, Big Eye Tours since its inception 3 years ago. Run by a brother and sister team and born and bred in Olhao they have built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them. 

Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site.   This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.

Wonderful accommodation and very relaxing.
We really enjoyed our stay at Alegria, the apartment is so well located on the edge of the development with good access to the town, local restaurants and ferries but with a very private feel on the top floor and with super views. We particularly enjoyed the space and modern furnishings, great internet, netflix and good sized terrace. All of the apartment facilities are excellent and we particularly enjoyed the walk-in shower. We look forward to staying there again soon....

Fantastic apartment - modern, clean, spacious and well equipped. Modern TV with Netflix and extremely high speed internet throughout the property. Beach towels and washing machine made travelling light exceptionally practical and desirable. All kitchen equipment needed, available. Dishwasher and iron came in handy. Proximity to Lidl was very useful. Very good restaurants on the sea front and even better in the old town. Visited breathtaking beeches on Armona and Culatra.
