Apartment Cecile is a superb 2-bedroom apartment at 1st-floor level, furnished to a very high standard in 2020. It includes a well-equipped kitchen, a master bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed and serviced by an en suite bathroom, a second bedroom furnished with two single beds and serviced by a family bathroom, and an open-plan living space with a comfortable sofa and a dining table perfect for 4 guests. The bright and airy living room also opens up onto a private terrace perfect for outdoor dining. The apartment is located in the very popular O Pomar Holiday Village, close to the beach in Cabanas and just a few minutes from the historic town of Tavira. Extra facilities include excellent WIFI, secure garage parking, and access to a resort swimming pool.
From the lovely tree lined avenue, access to the apartment complex is via a small pedestrian gate that leads into a covered area with either a stairs or a lift to the upper floors. Up one flight of stairs and you see the front door for Apartment Cecile. It opens up into a small hallway that gives access to the kitchen and large open plan living space.
The living area is a large, bright and airy space with soft, soothing colours. A light wood dining table placed between the kitchen and the living room and makes a great place to enjoy wonderful holiday meals featuring the amazing fresh local produce on offer in Cabanas.
The apartment is decorated in a very modern but soft and comfortable style. The living room features a large sofa and smart armchair surrounding a light wood coffee table. Set on a matching tv unit is a large flat-screen smart television offering a selection of European channels, and the entire apartment is fitted with good WIFI. Large floor-to-ceiling French windows lead onto an enclosed private balcony overlooking the gardens below. Left open, the sliding doors open the living space out onto the balcony, but they can also be closed along with the shutters to keep the apartment nice and cool in summer whilst you are sightseeing or at the beach. Curtains add a touch of softness and privacy to the living room.
The modern and efficient heating and cooling system provides cool temperatures in the hot summer months and a warm and cosy atmosphere in the cooler months, making Apartment Cecile a great choice for holiday accommodation at any time of the year.
This lovely and well-equipped kitchen is a separate room located just inside and to the right of the front door. It features smart dark cherry wood, black marble countertops, and white wood cupboards, and it offers up-to-the-minute modern appliances as well as drawers filled with cutlery, crockery, glasses, cooking and serving dishes and cooking utensils. On the side, you will find a capsule-style coffee maker, toaster and kettle.
Fitted appliances include an eye-level electric oven and microwave, a full-size fridge and freezer, ceramic hob with 4 rings and an extractor overhead. Hidden behind the units and well-fitted is a washing machine and dishwasher. A small bistro-style table and stools have been placed next to the kitchen window and make a great spot to sit, chat, drink and nibble whilst the cook is at work, making the kitchen another space for the whole family to enjoy.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
A doorway to the left of the living space leads into the vestibule for the bedrooms. To the right and towards the back of the apartment, overlooking the gardens, is the master bedroom. The room is decorated in a sunny yellow, and it features a large queen-size bed with fabric headboard set in the centre of the room with matching bedside tables and lamps. An armchair has been placed in a corner and the large fitted wardrobes with sliding doors provide plenty of space to store your holiday clothes. One closet door offers a full-size mirror. Curtains can be drawn back to open up the window view of the gardens below.
The en suite bathroom is styled with cream and light hazel tiles with white bathroom fittings to include a full-size bath and overhead shower, along with a toilet, bidet and basin set into a smart light wood vanity unit. Chrome fittings add a pleasing touch to this smart and functional bathroom for the master bedroom.
At the other end of the vestibule, towards the front of the apartment, the second bedroom is laid out as twin single beds, each with fabric headboards and decorated in seafoam green and blue. As in the master bedroom, this lovely room features bedside units, lamps, and a corner armchair, as well as fitted wardrobes with sliding doors and a full-length mirror. The bedroom windows overlook the front of the building and are dressed with curtains for privacy.
The second bathroom is situated right next door to the twin bedroom and offers a glass shower cubicle, basin and toilet.
Apartment Cecile has a wonderful covered balcony that overlooks the lovely landscaped gardens of O Pomar. Paths are lined with shrubs and palm trees. Nicely placed benches offer places to sit and enjoy the gardens and their tranquility. The terrace has been furnished with a lovely outdoor table and chairs and is the perfect place to sit and relax or to enjoy al fresco holiday dining.
Communal Spaces, Gardens and Swimming Pool
Apartment Cecile is a 2-bedroom, 1st floor apartment set within the very popular and well-designed O Pomar Holiday Village, a collection of low-rise apartments and townhouses surrounding a large town square-style center featuring a fountain and palm trees. Around the square are a variety of shops and businesses catering to holiday-makers, including an excellent café and restaurant and a fitness centre. The landscaping throughout O Pomar is well-maintained and is visually pleasing, and it combines energetic open areas with more quiet garden pathways and bench areas.
Near the square and a short walk from the apartment is a communal swimming pool. This large and spectacular pool is a lovely space designed for easy access with wide underwater steps which also provide a place to sit and cool your toes. The poolside area is spacious with a number of parasols and sun loungers available. A pretty rock wall and fence surround the area, and access is code-controlled through a gate.
Apartment Cecile has its own allocated parking space in a secure underground garage in the building directly behind the apartment. There is also plenty of street parking on offer.
The apartment is fabulously located for a great holiday in the Algarve. The sea is within walking distance, and a five-minute drive will take you to Cabana's beautiful boardwalk alongside the Ria Formosa, where you will find a variety of bars and restaurants. If you want a day in the sun, a short ferry ride will take you across the Ria Formosa to a beautiful, golden beach with private parasols and sunbeds for hire. The apartment is also located close to several of the region's excellent golf courses, one of which is only a two-minute drive from the apartment. The train station is a short walk from the apartment, and from there it is a short ride to the charming and ancient town of Tavira, founded by the Romans.
If you want to spend a day closer to the apartment, O Pomar itself offers multiple on-site attractions, including a wonderful pool area, fitness centre, shops including a restaurant and café, and of course the apartment itself as a lovely, comfortable and restful space with WIFI, air conditioning and dedicated parking.
Apartment Cecile guests are provided a manual that can be downloaded to a tablet or smart phone, and which is packed with information to help you make the best of your holiday starting from the moment you arrive. It tells you how to collect the keys, who will look after you during your stay, and it provides clear and concise directions to the apartment. It is also packed with details of the best restaurants, taxis and local amenities and activities for you to enjoy. Should you need any advice or additional tips, our managers are on hand and will be more than happy to help.

Booking your Holiday
To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.
30 days before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.
Marslgarve LDA operates a Breakages insurance scheme for any accidental damages and breakages during your stay with us.
The non-refundable Damage Protection Fee of €10 per guest protects you from being charged for accidental property damage that may occur during your stay with us. Cover is up to the value of €500. All we ask is that you treat our homes with respect and should any accidental damage occur you inform us immediately by contacting us at email@example.com.

Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference

We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600. This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday.
We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday.
Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you. We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you. In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.
Our "All important" Welcome Book
Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.
The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys.
We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive.
Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience.
During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book. The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.
Hampers and Mid Stay Cleans
Our properties are cleaned to an excellent standard and all items of any previous guest are removed. This includes all cooking items or hygiene products. This is to comply with Rental Licence and Covid rules for Portugal. As a self catering property we value your privacy and as such do not offer any cleaning service during your stay unless you request the extra paid service with us.
To provide the best service for our guests we do provide hand soap and a toilet roll per bathroom. The tap water in all of our properties is fit for human consumption.
We offer a selection of hampers at an extra fee and can be seen and chosen during or after the booking process.
Children and Babies
We can hire a variety of items for your holiday home. Please book any items your require during the booking process.
We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday. We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected. Please click on the link below choose your bikes and accessories, let us know via e mail and we will get it all booked for you.
We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you. We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service.
We can also arrange hire of scooters for you. They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

We use a fantastic local Company, Sunline Transfers. The Company has built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them.
Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site. This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.
