Apartment Rio is a penthouse on the top floor with 2 bedrooms and private roof terrace and a balcony. The place this penthouse offers is fabulous and offers just that little bit extra to make your holiday a special one.
Entrance
Each block of apartments at Cabanas Beach Club are in buildings of 6 apartments over 3 floors. They all share a communal lobby with either the use of stairs or a lift to the upper floors and garage. Access is only by key or intercom.
Living Space
The penthouse apartments at Cabanas Beach Club are beautifully built and can offer so many extra features. Our Apartment Rio is one of those and this penthouse does provide that little bit extra.
Once thought the apartment door the place opens up into a huge living space with a wonderful coved ceiling that gives this room that a "wow" factor.
A smart "L" shaped sofa faces towards a large flat screen "Smart" television set upon a modern tv unit and offers a selection of European tv channels. The smart feature also allows you to use your Netflix, prime video and You tube accounts. This space is designed for comfort and enjoyment of a little inside living.
At the front of the penthouse and right beside the breakfast bar, kitchen and French windows is a smart dining table and chairs. This layout works so well as you can really enjoy the views form the balcony and over the Ria Formosa.
The open plan space of this penthouse is beautifully decorated and the owners have taken such care to provide a really wonderful space to enjoy.
Kitchen
Set to the left of the living space and with a breakfast bar and its own door on to the balcony the kitchen works very well in this penthouse. We have left nothing to chance here either and made sure you have the super well equipped kitchen. The fitted cupboards and drawers are crammed full of dining sets, cups, glasses, cooking utensils and much more to make a full and excellent working kitchen.
Appliances include a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob, electric oven and an overhead extractor. A microwave, capsule coffee machine, kettle and toaster.
The breakfast bar makes for a perfect place to sit and watch the cook at work. There is such an abundance of fresh local produce and seafood it seems a shame not to take advantage.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are separated from the living space by a folding lattice wooden screen to assist in providing a little privacy when needed.
The master bedroom is laid out with a huge super kings size bed with a fantastic dark style headboard. Each side is bedside tables with matching lamps. Against the wall is fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. There is even a door leading to a small balcony where you can sit and watch the beautiful Algarve sunsets.
The master bedroom has the added luxury of en suit facilities. The modern and smart bathroom includes a full size bath and overhead shower protected with a stylish glass screen. You will find a toilet, bidet and basin set into a floating vanity units with plenty of storage in the cupboard space below the basin.
The second bedroom is laid out with twin single beds again with super stylish large dark fitted headboards. Between the beds is a table and lamp and beside the beds is another fitted wardrobe with sliding doors. This bedroom has offers a lovely little balcony and here too you can enjoy the evening sun.
The second bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, toilet and basin with a large overhead mirror.
Private Terraces
This penthouse offers an amazing amount of outside space to enjoy. Every details has been thought of to make sure any guests can take full advantage of the wonderful Algarve climate.
From the living room huge sliding glass doors open up onto a lovely wide balcony. As there is so much space we have been able to place a nice large outdoor dining set here. The balcony overlooks the gardens of Cabanas Beach Club. At the end of the balcony in our penthouse is a full sized traditional brick built bbq. These are by far the best way to cook your bbq food and really help add to the authenticity of your stay in delightful Portugal.
Over the balcony is a retracting sun shade for you to use and this extra addition really helps you make the most of the outside space.
Iron steps lead from the balcony up to the private roof terrace. From here you can see fantastic views over Cabanas roof tops and across the ria Formosa Natural Park to the sea. Our penthouse roof terrace is big enough for a table and sofa style chairs along with some sun loungers and you will find it to be the most super sun trap! Up here is such a lovely quiet place to enjoy at any time of the day.
Each bedroom offers a little balcony and these make great places to sit and watch sunsets r just relax in to your holiday morning with a cup of coffee and that holiday book.
Communal Spaces, Gardens and Swimming Pool
Cabanas Beach Club is a closed complex and a our penthouse can enjoy all the excellent facilities the complex has to offer. A lovely large salt water swimming pool is set at one end of the resort and is surrounded by terraces with sun beds and parasols for all to share. The rest of the resort is laid to lawns and floor beds with attractive cobbled paths, very much giving a relaxed and tranquil feel to the gardens.
Under the resort is a huge secure carpark and our penthouse has its own allocated parking space.
The swimming pool is perfect for swimmers of any age and ability as its has gentle Romas steps at the shallow end so get for a little paddle, it then has a gentle gradient to the deeper end for toe who may wish to have a little swim.
Facilities
Our penthouse offers fabulous accommodation with 2 bedrooms and super comfortable beds. Throughout the penthouse is excellent internet and wifi. The air conditioning is new and can offer cool fresh air in the summer months and warm, cosy are in the winter months. Our penthouse is a great holiday accommodation choice at any time of the year. So why not think of choosing out of season to visit and enjoy some Winter sun and explore the Algarve. The windows and doors are fitted with shutters, the sun shades offer a great extra bonus to the penthouse and the roof terrace is simply out of this world.
Even though we have a secure car park there is no need to hire a car. Cabanas Beach Club is close to a train station, bust stops and plenty fo taxis and even Uber. There is s cycle path and all the shops, cafes and beach are all within walking distance of the penthouse.
Our lovely penthouse comes with its own manual that you can download to your tablet or smart phone. Packed full of information to make the best of your holiday starting from the moment you arrive. It tells you how to collect the keys, who will look after you during your stay and clear concise directions to Apartment Rio. Then it is packed full with details of the best restaurants, taxis and local amenities and activities.
And of course our managers are on hand to make sure you love your holiday more if you need any advice or tips on the local area they will be more than happy to help.

Booking your Holiday
To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.
30 days before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.
Damages Protection
Marslgarve LDA operates a Breakages insurance scheme for any accidental damages and breakages during your stay with us.
The non-refundable Damage Protection Fee of €10 per guest protects you from being charged for accidental property damage that may occur during your stay with us. Cover is up to the value of €500. All we ask is that you treat our homes with respect and should any accidental damage occur you inform us immediately by contacting us at info@marsalgarve.com.

Methods of Payment
On the payment page you will find two tabs.
Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference
Tab 2 Within our website we have a secure payment method for card payments. Please sue this tab if you wish to pay by card.

Arrival Day
We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600. This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday.
We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday.
Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you. We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Departure Day
We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you. In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.
Our "All important" Welcome Book
Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.
The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys.
We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive.
Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience.
During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book. The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.
Hampers and Mid Stay Cleans
Our properties are cleaned to an excellent standard and all items of any previous guest are removed. This includes all cooking items or hygiene products. This is to comply with Rental Licence and Covid rules for Portugal. As a self catering property we value your privacy and as such do not offer any cleaning service during your stay unless you request the extra paid service with us.
To provide the best service for our guests we do provide hand soap and a toilet roll per bathroom. The tap water in all of our properties is fit for human consumption.
We offer a selection of hampers at an extra fee and can be seen and chosen during or after the booking process.
Children and Babies
We can hire a variety of items for your holiday home. Please book any items your require during the booking process.
Bicycle Hire
We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday. We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected. Please click on the link below choose your bikes and accessories, let us know via e mail and we will get it all booked for you.
Car Hire
We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you. We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service.
We can also arrange hire of scooters for you. They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

Airport Transfers
We use a fantastic local Company, Sunline Transfers. The Company has built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them.
Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site. This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.

"This was absolutly perfect. Great hospitality and a very warm welcome by Olga made us feel very welcome. The check-in was extremly easy. The appartment exeeded all our expectations and we can recommend both Tavira, Cabanas, Mars Algarve and the appartment. The pool area was perfect for both our kids and us. Quiet and not many people. There were allways free sunbeds at the pool. We had a car while we were there and was very pleased with a private underground parking spot with an automated garage port. The appartment was very well equipped with a fully equipped kitchen and a little grill on the terrace. The rooftop terrace was also a delight. There were aircondition in both bedrooms and in the living room. The appartment has a very high standard and was very cleen and neet. Highly reccomended. A little tip at the end. The appartment has no wall or ceiling-mounted fire-detectors or smoke alarms so if this is a thing you need to feel safe at night then I recommend you bring your own travel-detector :-) The location of the appartment was also perfect. Just a short walk (2-3 min) to the seafeont boardwalk. With a 3-yearold and a 5-yearold I noticed it was suppricingly many cars driving in the narrow streets. Thou this was not a very big issue and my kids absolutely loved this place. We went to both Ihla de Tavira (praia do Barrill) and Ihla de Cabanas. Both were very nice but we thought Ihla de Cananas was the best. It is very close, 5 min walk to the shuttle boats and a little boardwalk on the island. Suppricingly few people and a beautiful beach. We wanted to try the Portugese speciality Leitão (suckling pig), and drove to the restaurant Barraida just 15 min drive from Cabanas. This was though a bit of a dissapointment. I choose to believe that we were just out of luck regards to this portugese speciality. We highly reccomend the Principal GastroBar just in the start of the Cabanas boardwalk. The food and service there was amazing."
