A fabulous little haven right in the centre of old town Olhao. Casa Gaibeu is a delightful whitewashed cottage with two bedrooms and glorious roof terrace.

This beautiful old renovated fishermans cottage offers a wonderful slice of old Olhao with the modern comforts. Renovated in 2014 this little piece of heaven makes for a superb holiday home.

Enter from the pedestrian cobbled street via the old wooden front double doors into comfortable open plan living with a small kitchenette housing a small two ring hob, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. A round wooden kitchen table and chairs and a comfortable space with a sofa in a wonderful arched room full of character and style.

Head up the old stone steps to the first floor where you will fid tow light and airy bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large double bed with an en suite wet room. Shuttered window look out onto the cobbled street below. The second bedroom has twin beds with a great little view over one of the many small squares located in the down town old Olhao. There is then a shared bathroom with toilet, basin and walk in shower.

Take a trip up those steps again and an open space offers a washing machine and storage facilities. Open the small wooden door and find your self on an amazing open roof terrace, complete with an area to sit and enjoy a bbq or some al fresco dining. Along with some sun loungers to sit and relax and enjoy the sunshine.

There is even an option to head up the steps again to a wonderful shades area with some views to the sea.

Casa Gaibeu is situated right in the heart of the winding and interesting small pedestrian cobbled street of the old town of Olhao. Whilst there is no parking close by there is certainly places to park within the town. The location is perfect for those who do not wish to hire a car as everything you could need is in exceptionally easy walking distance.

To secure your holiday with us we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price followed by the remainder of the payment 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.

Upon full payment and completion of the booking form we will end you meeting arrangements, directions and a comprehensive pack of information on the local area.

We can supply Euro and a sterling bank account for payments although if you wish to pay by credit/debit card we are able to provide you with an invoice using Paypal. You will not need to have a Paypal account to use this facility.

We require a damage bond and this is dealt with by way of a credit card slip with credit/debit card details of any person booked into the property.  If a card is not available then the payment must be in cash and this will be returned via bank transfer once the holiday is over and upon receipt of bank details.

The holiday price includes a mid stay linen change every 7 days for stays of 14 nights or more.

Bed linen, bath and hand towels along with beach/pool towels are provided within the holiday cost. 

WIFI is included but may incur an extra charge please confirm that WIFI is included within the cost of your holiday.

We operate a strict arrival and departure time limit especially during the summer months.  Arrival is after 1600 and departure is before 1000. For arrivals we are happy to meet you at the property after 1000 to drop baggage etc but then entry can not be gained until after 1600 to allow the cleaners to prepare the property to the exceptionally high standard that we at Mars Algarve pride ourselves upon. Departure is strictly before 1000 and failure to depart on time without prior arrangement will result in a financial charge.

Upon arrival you will be met by one of the very helpful Mars Algarve Team they will hand over the keys to your holiday home and take the time to show you the property and tell you about any local information and answer any questions you may have. The Mars Algarve team will then be on hand during your holiday for any issues that may arise.

Within the property you will find a blue folder stuffed full of information, our local contact details, local maps and plenty of restaurant recommends and much more.

We enjoyed again, as two years ago, our stay in this extraordinary house within the historical center of Olhao. It has everything to make a stay as pleasant as possible. Especially the roof terraces with a great view are the most outstanding feature.

“This apartment was absolutely beautiful! Very Portuguese in character and is located walking distance from all the restaurants and boat rides as well. It had a really nice courtyard outside and felt really safe walking around late at night too. I would definitely stay here again. Beautiful town and beautiful apartment! It did get a little hot (though they have fans on all the floors) so I would just recommend opening windows at night. The rooftop was sweet and fun to hang out at.”
